By the decision of the government of Adjara, the subsidy on non-standard tangerines for industrial processing has been doubled, and farmers will be financed by the state with 30 Tetris instead of 15.

Based on projected data, up to 55 thousand tons of citrus are expected in Adjara this year. More than 20 citrus processing enterprises will receive export tangerines this year. As for non-standard fruits, the Kobuleti canning factory will process an unlimited amount.
The citrus headquarters, whose purpose is to facilitate citrus logistics and sales, as well as to provide citrus subsidies, will resume work before February 1. A hotline will be opened, where anyone can get information.
In 2022, citrus worth 21.2 million US dollars (36.1 thousand tons) was exported from Georgia to 15 countries.
The main citrus export markets are Armenia and Russia, where products worth 10.7 million and 9.4 million US dollars, respectively, have been exported. Citrus export - Armenia - 18,000 tons, Russia - 17,140, Ukraine - 418, Germany - 128, Belarus - 142, Kazakhstan - 120, Iraq - 96, Azerbaijan - 20, Turkey - 18, other countries - 43 tons.
