"I was informed that the SUS has requested financial documentation for my foundation from the banks. I have been waiting for you until now, and if you’ve got the guts, after you check it, come forward and praise me," Nanuka Zhorzholiani wrote on social media.
The Nanuka Foundation, established in 2020, has been raising funds to save lives for several years. In the spring of 2024, following the Georgian Dream’s reintroduction of the Russian Law and the subsequent protests, Nanuka Zhorzholiani announced on social media that she would also use the foundation to support protesters.
During the ongoing pro-European protests, the foundation has been raising funds for various purposes, including the purchase of gas masks and helmets, as well as providing assistance to detained protesters. On December 1, Nanuka Zhorzholiani wrote on Facebook that the fund had received 254 246 GEL in donations in just one day. The "Nanuka Fund" holds accounts at TBC Bank and the Bank of Georgia.
