As Irakli Kobakhidze said, the region was represented at the highest level at the inauguration of the Iranian president.
"I attended the inauguration of the president of Iran. Iran is a very important state in the region. With this in mind, this inauguration was attended by almost all the states of the region. This inauguration was attended by the personal representative of Josep Borrell, the personal representative of the UN Secretary-General, and a representative group.
As for the region itself, the region was represented at the highest level. The prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia were present, among others. The region was represented throughout," Kobakhidze stated.
On July 30, Irakli Kobakhidze attended the inauguration of the newly elected president of Iran, Masoud Fezeshkiani, which was held in Tehran at the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Reuters, Masoud Pezeshkian, took the oath amid shouts of "death to America" and "death to Israel." The inauguration ceremony was attended by leaders of Iran's Palestinian allies Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as high-ranking representatives of the Tehran-backed Yemeni Houthi movement and Lebanon's Hezbollah.
Pezeshkian was elected president in early July after his predecessor, Ebrahim Raisi, was killed in a helicopter crash on May 19. Irakli Kobakhidze, together with Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, visited Iran on May 22 and attended Raisi's funeral.
